Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant specializing in Laparoscopic-Robotic Surgery and Gynecologic Oncology
Dr. Anastasios Pandraklakis is an Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant specializing in Laparoscopic-Robotic Surgery and Gynecologic Oncology in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Pandraklakis obtained his medical degree from the Medical School of the University of Crete. He completed his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at "Alexandra" Hospital in Greece and at the Norwich University Hospital in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) in the UK and continues his subspecialty training in Laparoscopic-Robotic Surgery and Gynecologic Oncology in the UK.
He holds a Master’s degree in the Management of High-Risk Pregnancies from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and earned a PhD from the University of Athens. His research focused on "Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols in Gynecologic Oncology," aiming to improve perioperative care and promote faster recovery for patients undergoing gynecologic cancer surgery.
Additionally, Dr. Pandraklakis has extensive experience in high-risk pregnancies and the prevention and management of preterm labor, having trained at a referral center in the UK. He is also a strong advocate of natural childbirth and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
Dr. Pandraklakis is an active member of both the European and British Gynecologic Oncology communities, with numerous publications in internationally recognized medical journals. He has also presented at international conferences on Gynecologic Oncology. Furthermore, he has experience in Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), having worked at one of the pioneering gynecologic centers in the UK that implemented this treatment for ovarian cancer cases.
He is certified in Colposcopy by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).
