Female Fertility Evaluation
The following tests are typically performed:
Medical & Reproductive History
✔ Review of personal and family medical history
✔ Recent Pap Smear
✔ Vaginal Swab Culture – Screening for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
✔ Transvaginal Ultrasound (Cycle Days 2-8) & 3D Ultrasound
✔ Hysterosalpingography (HSG) or HYCOSY – To check the fallopian tubes and uterine cavity
Hormonal & Blood Tests
✔ AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) – Evaluates ovarian reserve
✔ FSH, LH, Estradiol (E2), Prolactin (Cycle Days 2-4) – Assess ovarian function
✔ Progesterone (Cycle Day 21) – Confirms ovulation
✔ TSH & Full Thyroid Panel – Checks thyroid function
✔ Hemoglobin Electrophoresis / Sickle Cell Test
✔ Complete Blood Count, Iron, Ferritin Levels
